Stronghold Engineering was selected as the solar carport contractor for the Lake Elsinore Unified School District’s (LEUSD) Solar Carport Project. We installed 67 solar carports at ten LEUSD schools and four administration buildings. Altogether, the installation covered parking areas totaling 225,932 square feet.Â
Solar energy from another project completed by Stronghold, the West Riverside Landfill Solar Project, is offsetting energy gathered by the solar parking canopies in the 14 locations. Each site receives between 6-10% of the power collected by the landfill’s solar system. Our team completed the project on time and with no safety incidents. We look forward to continuing our working relationship with the district which will include adding EV chargers and additional solar projects.
Designed and constructed in under 200 days, this $1.9 million design-build project for a solar carport at the Marine Corps Air Station at Miramar, CA, included a large system with an anticipated power generation of 204.5 KW. The project also included designing and constructing a new, attractive building to protect the equipment from weather. The design selected is a tiered trellis look that will be used throughout the base for future solar carport projects. The project was completed on time, within budget, and without incidents or lost time.
