This project required that the grid-tied, Solar Photovoltaic Power Systems (SPVPS) be designed, procured, and installed on the rooftops of four buildings at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma (MCAS), Arizona. The Solar Photovoltaic Power Systems (SPVPS) needed to be a grid-tied system. This project was a renewable energy generation project, and was required for compliance with both the Energy Policy Act of 2005 and Executive Order 13423 of Jan 24, 2007 which mandates reductions of energy intensity as measured by energy consumption per gross square footage of facilities. The final product provided a turnkey Solar Photovoltaic Power System, tested, commissioned, accepted, and beneficial to MCAS Yuma, AZ.
Services included all labor, equipment, material, supervision, and bonding for the complete engineering design, provision, installation, commissioning and testing of grid-tied (SPVPS) on the rooftops of Buildings 530, 930, 1200, and 1508 under respective projects: YU1102R, YU1138R, YU1102R, and YU1013R FY12 Marine Corps Air Station Yuma (MCAS), Arizona. The SPVPS consisted of photovoltaic module arrays mounted on support structures and brackets, electrical terminal and combiner boxes, quick-connect electrical connectors, Direct Current (DC) wiring, DC disconnects, grid connected inverter and isolation transformer, Alternating Current (AC) disconnects and a connection to Itron-Centron Meter
